How to join Rosetta Commons

Are you leading a biomolecular structure prediction or design research lab at an academic, nonprofit, or government institution and interested in collaborative scientific development? The Rosetta Commons welcomes new members who share our mission of advancing macromolecular modeling and design.

We offer two membership types for independent investigators:

Membership types

Affiliate (starting point)

Rosetta Commons Affiliates are independent researchers who are early in their leadership journey or are just beginning to contribute to the community. Affiliate membership is often the first step before becoming a full PI.

  • Term: 3 years, renewable based on continued contribution
  • Path to PI: Affiliates may apply for PI status once they demonstrate sustained leadership and contributions to the Commons
  • Approval: Requires nomination by a current PI and approval by the Membership Chair

Principal Investigator (PI)

Rosetta Commons PIs are established group leaders who have demonstrated leadership and a strong track record of contributing to Rosetta research, code, or community efforts.

  • Term: Ongoing (no fixed term)
  • Approval: Requires nomination by a current Rosetta PI and majority vote by the Executive Board
