Downloading Rosetta: "Forbidden. You don't have permission...."
#1

hi! i'm trying to download Rosetta as an academic user. Whenever I attempt to download Rosetta (Software > License & Download > Academic Download > Download Rosetta 3.14 or any of the releases), I get an error saying "Forbidden. You don't have permission to access /downloads/academic/3.14 on this server." I tried reaching out to the CoMotion people at UW, and they said they cannot help and to ask here. How do I get access to download Rosetta? I keep looking for a license agreement i need to fill out or something but can't find anything. Thank you!

Rosetta is now made availible without a signing step for academic and nonprofit users. (Use for commercial purposes needs the purchase of a separate license.) -- So if you're an academic user, there's no form you need to fill out to get a license. (The license and the terms you are allowed to use the software under comes bundled with the download.)

The error message you see is a bug - no password should be needed to access that page. I'm guessing that recent computer maintenance has messed something up. I'll forward a message to the sysadmin and see if he can fix things.

I will note that Rosetta is also now availible on Github.com -- https://github.com/RosettaCommons/rosetta  if you wish to download from there, rather wait for the rosettacommons.org server to be fixed.
