Our Commitment to a Respectful and Supportive Community

The Rosetta Commons exists to enable shared developments and discoveries. We believe in the power of collaboration to advance science. Our goal is to create a community where individuals from all backgrounds can contribute meaningfully.

The Commons encourages research groups within the community to regularly assess and improve their practices to ensure that all individuals have an opportunity to succeed. We strive to create a work environment where everyone is treated with respect and given the chance to reach their full potential.

These efforts are necessary for maintaining an ethical and supportive community of scientists. A broad range of perspectives can drive innovative approaches and solutions, benefiting all members. Ensuring that the workforce is made up of individuals from a variety of experiences will help secure the future of scientific research.

This statement was developed with input from the Rosetta Commons leadership team, was formally adopted by the Rosetta Commons Executive Board in September 2018, and was updated in 2025.

Rosetta Commons has a JEDI committee that works to ensure that this commitment is met in the community.
