Registration Now Open for European RosettaCon 2025 – Join Us in Ljubljana!
We are excited to announce that registration is now open for European RosettaCon 2025, taking place from October 20 to 22 at the Grand Hotel Union Eurostars in Ljubljana, Slovenia. This year’s theme, “Designing Functional Proteins for the Future,” invites researchers, developers, and students in computational protein design to come together and explore the latest advancements in our field.
Keynote Speakers: David Baker (University of Washington), Birte Höcker (University of Bayreuth), Roman Jerala (National Institute of Chemistry, Slovenia), Tanja Kortemme (University of California, San Francisco)
Invited Speakers (so far): Florian Praetorius (Institute of Science and Technology Austria), Patrick Bryant (Stockholm University), Joe Watson (Xaira Therapeutics), Anastassia Vorobieva (VIB-VUB Center for Structural Biology), Gustav Oberdorfer (Technical University in Graz)
Registration Information
The conference is open to all. Members of Rosetta Commons or the Slovenian Biochemical Society are eligible for discounted rates. When registering, you can:
- Submit an abstract for a poster or a talk. (Use the abstract Word template provided.)
- Request a visa letter, if applicable. (Use the visa letter template.)
- Sign up for the Gala Conference Dinner
- Three optional excursions are available on October 23rd. They take place at the same time, so you can only select one.
Workshop:
We will organize a Rosetta workshop one week before this year’s European RosettaCon in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The dates are Tue 14.10.25 10:00 AM to Sat 18.10.25 01:00 PM. The workshop will focus on applying PyRosetta and AI tools like RFdiffusion or ProteinMPNN to the design and engineering of proteins.
The workshop is intended for early career researchers who look to get a wide overview of modern computational design techniques, try them out and discuss their use cases, limitations, and ways to improve them.
The prerequisites for the workshop are:
- Basic knowledge of python (for loops, jupyter notebook, google colab)
- Basic knowledge of protein structure and intermolecular interactions (h-bonds, salt bridges, secondary structure of proteins)
- You need to bring your own laptop and have a Google account
There are 30 slots for non-local participants who will receive a travel grant of $500 (~€420) each. We aim at fairly distributing participation slots across the Rosetta labs. Please first discuss within your labs who is interested in participating, and then decide the priority of admitting each applying student. When this priority is settled, please apply here.
On August 25th we will close the registration and finalize the participant list.
If you have questions, reach out to the organizing team at EURosettaCon2025@ki.si.
Best,
Organizing Committee
Ajasja Ljubetič, National Institute of Chemistry, Slovenia
Dominik Gront, University of Warsaw, Poland
Early registration closes Aug 10th.
